Are you “Seen“?
Are you “Heard“?
Do you “Matter“?

Regardless of religion, as we enter into the holiday season we often forget the essence of it all. We all have busy hectic lives and those of us with children know how stressful but yet rewarding it can be. All year long we may have told our children “Don’t Do ……” or “Don’t Be …….” And often we think they may be doing these things in spite of you, but in reality they want to be SEEN, HEARD and feel that they MATTER. They are learning to discover themselves and developing their own identities.  Children need boundaries and without them they won’t feel loved. How we implement these boundaries will determine how our children will be SEEN, HEARD and whether they MATTER.

You see, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” –Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Christmas is a time of love, peace, healing and renewed strength. Children love Christmas not just for the physical gifts, it’s what these gifts represent that hold the magic. The grandest gift we can give is from the heart, letting those around us know that they are SEEN, HEARD & they MATTER.

There is a child in all of us. We all want to be SEEN, HEARD and MATTER.

Think about this as you go through the holiday season and let’s continue it throughout the year.
